Iran Heritage Foundation
Guidelines for Submission of Academic Projects
The Iran Heritage Foundation is a UK registered charity established in
1995 to promote knowledge of the rich cultural heritage of Iran. The
Foundation
will consider grants for research and publication (books, monographs,
etc.);
conferences and seminars, lectures and lecture series; the study of the
Persian
language and the literature; and the history, art, architecture, and
culture
of the Iranian world. The Academic Committee of the Foundation offers
help
in the form of matching funds for appropriate projects.
There is no set application form, but applicants are expected to
submit detailed and carefully costed outlines of their projects, with
an
indication, where suitable, of plans for publication. Two academic
referees
should write independently on behalf of the project to the Foundation.
If
successful, applicants will be required to submit regular reports and
accounts;
grants may be given in installments on completion of specified stages
of
the project.
Applications and letters from referees should be mailed to the
Academic Committee, Iran Heritage Foundation, POB 2256, London W1A 1YS.
The
Committee meets in January and June of each year. Applications and
letters
for the January meeting should reach the Foundation by November 15;
those
for the June meeting by April 15.
