Dieter Weber, Pahlavi Documents of Windādburzmihrābād, the Estate of a Zoroastrian Entrepreneur in Early Islamic Times (With an Excursus on the Origin of the Fulanabad-Type of Village Names)

In the following article five documents from the so-called "Pahlavi Archive" are published for the first time. They refer to activities in the village of Windādburzmihrābād, named after a Zoroastrian entreprěneur, during the second half of the 7th century C.E. In addition the development of this type of village name (the so- called Fulanabad-name) is discussed with the help of papyrological evidence from Egypt under Persian occupation (ca. 619—629 C.E.).
