Buddhist remains from the area of Ujjain in central India are not at all well known. General works on Buddhism in early India give them at best only passing mention, usually without illustration. This article, based on field trips between 2010 and 2012, seeks to compensate for this neglect by introducing two stūpa sites: one at Sodanga, the other at Undasa.
