The Silk Road: Trade, Travel, War and Faith, an exhibition
held at the British Library May 7th to September 12th, 2004, in association
with the British Museum, focused on Aurel Stein's collections of manuscripts,
paintings, and artefacts housed in the British Library and the British Museum
with additional exhibits from France, Germany, China, Japan, and private
collections.
